Beware of buying makeup imitations

Some women resort to cheap knock-off makeups even if they are not so sure of its harmful effect on their faces.

The side effects can ruin their face in the long run like what happened to Filipina makeup enthusiast Zaira Soriano who learned this lesson in the hard way.

According to her Facebook post, she tried a cheap eyeliner she bought for a modeling shoot but after three hours of using it, she felt that her eyelids are burning.

Bura agad ng makeup. [Pack-up] ang modeling. Grabe, namaga ng bongang bonga,” she said in her post.

Fake makeup products could be dangerous to someone’s health. There were reported cases of people who suffered allergic reactions, skin rashes, eye infections and chemical burns from using knock-off makeup products.

Most of these products are made not only from non-quality ingredients but also from horrifying ingredients such as rat poop, paint stripper, and human pee.

In order to avoid these consequences, make sure to buy makeup products from malls and authorized makeup outlets.

There are also YouTube videos of makeup enthusiasts giving reviews on the quality of makeup products they purchased.
