Twenty vehicles have been seized by Dubai Police for causing noise disturbance over the weekend.
The seized cars and motorcycles were found to have modified silencers to boost their speed illegally.
“Not only did it endanger lives, it also caused public disturbance,” the police force said in a Facebook post.
Brigadier Abdullah Khadem Al Sorour, Director of the Bur Dubai Police Station, said that aside from modified vehicles, their operations also targets those young individuals who engage in stunt driving.
He emphasized that traffic safety is a duty and responsibility shared by everyone in the community.
