The Filipino Times Awards hosted many prominent individuals during the awards ceremony held at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai last September 7, with each wearing beautiful gowns created by UAE-based Filipino designers.
Michael Cinco
Michael Cinco was the 2015 TFT Rizal Awardee known for his iconic works in the international scene, which includes Swarovski heiress Victoria Swarovski’s $1-million wedding dress as well as Kris Aquino’s gown in “Crazy Rich Asians”. His designs had been worn by various Hollywood A-Listers like Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Sofia Vergara among others.

Aldwin ‘Jlo’ Ornopia
Aldwin ‘Jlo’ Ornopia was the 2017 TFT Fashion Designer of the Year who’s known for dressing up celebrities and beauty queens like Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, Megan Young, Angelica Panganiban, Melai Cantivieros, Sheryn Regis, Angeline Quinto, Venus Raj , Maris Racal, Nikki Valdez, Miss World Philippines Queenie Rehman, Isabel Lopez, Say Alonzo, and Nadine Lustre. Ryan Pacioles won the 2018 TFT Most Promising Fashion Designer of the Year whose fashion works has been worn by famous celebrities such as Regine Velazquez, Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, Solenn Heusaff, and more.

Gary Filemon ‘Garimon’ Roferos was the 2017 TFT Most Promising Fashion Designer of the Year. One of his most notable works was dressing up Isabelle Duterte, daughter of current President Rodrigo Duterte for her debut.

Jose Allen Villena
Jose Allen Villena was one of the nominees for the 2018 TFT Most Promising Fashion Designer of the Year. He has served as the in-house fashion designer for the Royal Family in the office of Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan and has provided training for distressed OFWs in the UAE to help them launch their own businesses.
