Thousands of Filipinos are expected to gather tomorrow, January 18, Friday at Abu Dhabi’s St. Joseph’s Cathedral as a grand celebration of the annual Sinulog festival will take place.
The festivities will begin with a procession at 11:30 am at the cathedral’s grounds, followed by a celebration of the Holy Mass.
After the mass ends, there will be lively sights and sounds as the entire community jives along with the festive dances that the Sinulog is known for led by the United Cebuanos group.
Sinulog, otherwise known as the festival of Sto. Nino, is an annual event celebrated in the Philippines during the 3rd Sunday of January in Cebu City, which attracts more millions of Filipinos as well as tourists from all over the globe.
