A video footage showing a patient infected with the deadly novel coronavirus is making the rounds online.
The patient can be seen convulsing on a stretcher in a hospital in the city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak.
In the video shared by journalist Max Howroute on Twitter, the patient can be seen having seizures while covered with a thick blanket.

According to Howroute, the man is having an episode of cytokine storm, which means a surge of overactive immune cells in the lungs and might result in death from suffocation.
Some people were seen trying to restrain the patient, but he kept on shaking uncontrollably.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus has climbed to 80 while the number of infected has risen to 2700, China’s National Health Commission confirmed Monday.
The customs operations were suspended in the city of Wuhan starting today until Thursday.

Thirteen cities in Hubei province have been placed under lockdown to prevent the spread of the disease.
