When the topic of infidelity or deception among showbiz celebrities spills into our daily dose of media, we often say we saw it coming, or we react with shock.
But in reality, our instincts, especially among women, always tell us if we must stay away from something or someone. We just often ignore them, because the heart itself often deceives the mind. This is why perception and reality don’t always match up.
OFW robbed, killed by his own wife and secret lover

Police officers in San Juan, La Union arrested one of the five suspects in the killing of an overseas Filipino worker last August 12.
Senior Inspector Juanito Buaron, Jr. said Rogelio Velasco was arrested at a checkpoint carrying one live shotgun ammunition.

“When my men asked Velasco why he was carrying a bullet, he could not give any reason and that prompted them to arrest the suspect,” Northbound Asia quoted Buaron as saying.
Buaron said identified Velasco as one of the five suspects in the killing of Edgar Ursua, a seaman in Singapore, at his residence in Barangay Duplas.
The report said the suspects, including the victim’s wife conspired to seize items from Ursua’s house, including a $100 bill.
The police added that Velasco had an illicit affair with the victim’s wife. It was also found out that she was pregnant with her lover’s child.
Velasco now faces charges of robbery with homicide, while the woman could also face charges for her participation in the killing of her own husband.
OFW spent over P50,000 for her lover, but here’s what happened when she met him

One thing that keeps overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) stable amid the loneliness in foreign soil is knowing that there is someone who’s waiting for their return. But what if one day they learned that their other half, who they often regard as their “rock”, is not exclusive?
Lyn, an OFW from Kuwait, took her frustrations to a tele-radio program in Manila. (TFT decided to maintain her anonymity in this article).
The Filipina narrated how she met Jun, a military man, through Facebook. To cut the story short, she easily fell in love with this man even if their interaction was only through the Internet.
She’s a trusting and kind-hearted woman and Jun was an honest and brave fellow. But Lyn never thought that the result of her relationship with him was as disastrous as it could be – for this man came to her as wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.

She funded Jun’s lavish requests. She sent P12,000 to buy a phone for them to communicate regularly, sent another P18,000 to buy a new phone and P20,000 to buy a motorcycle.
However, in their romantic transition from online chats to real-life meetings, the reality inevitably turned out more than Lyn planned on and less than she had hoped for.
Despite Lyn’s generosity, she faced a huge disappointment when she told Jun of her plan to finally go home and meet him.
Instead of being excited about their meeting, Lyn said he told her to put their relationship on hold, a cool off so to speak. But a bigger shock awaited her upon her return to the country.
Lyn never imagined that he’d lure her, take advantage of her financial capability and dump her bones, as the famous proverb goes.
She saw another woman’s post on Facebook – a photo showing a child, the woman, and Jun together. Indeed, the ‘single’ Jun she knew was already committed to someone else.
“Sabi niya binata siya at hiwalay ng four years sa asawa niya. Pero may anak pala siya,” she said during an episode of “Raffy Tulfo in Action”.
However, in his version of the story, Tugade said Lyn voluntarily gave the money, adding that Lyn knew about his partner and their son.
“Gusto ko lang linisin pangalan ko. Sinabi ko na may asawa ako at kasal. Sinabi pa niya na payag siyang maging kabit,” he said.
The two were able to talk via phone during the show, wherein Lyn remained firm that she all she wanted after the breakup was to get her money back.
“Ibalik mo ‘yung pera ko. ‘Yun lang ang akin,” Lyn said.
Lyn and Jun agreed to meet personally to settle the dispute. The show made a follow up and learned that Lyn no longer demanded to get her money back. The two also agreed to remain “best friends forever”.
