A Yemeni man who stabbed performers on stage at a show in Riyadh months ago are believed to be under the orders of Al-Qaeda, Saudi Gazette reported.
The 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with committing a terrorist attack after he stabbed two people—one musician and one guard—during a live performance. According to investigations, the defendant is a member of Al-Qaeda in Yemen and was said to have been assigned by his leader to commit the said crime.
Saudi Gazette also reported that the man also filmed himself before the attack, in which he was delivering a poem about violence. The man sent the said video to others via a communication app.
