A Kuwaiti court sentenced a well-known plastic surgeon to five years in prison and fined him KD5,000 ($16,500) after he was found guilty of molesting a female Kuwait patient inside his clinic.
The doctor denied any wrongdoing and his lawyer accused the plaintiff of making false accusations as an act of revenge following a previous dispute with the doctor.
But the court found him guilty of trying to harass the patient and gave him a suspended prison term.
It also decided to refer him to a civilian court to determine damages he must pay the plaintiff.
