A film and theatre producer is facing a trial over allegedly falsifying a visit visa application, The Daily Tribune News of Bahrain reported.
The accused reportedly used a fake stamp from a Bahraini movie production company and forged the owner’s signature. The production company filed a case against the producer, and added that aside from the forgery, the defendant also didn’t live up to the agreement of the play they were supposed to work on together.
According to the owner, this resulted to the company facing claims up to Bhd9,000.
The owner added that when they met in 2017, the defendant told him how he wanted to use his company’s name to produce a play in Bahrain, saying that he was not a GCC national.
