DUBAI BEACH CLEAN-UP. The UAE Mountainbiking Jumeirah, a group of cyclists who also are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), joined by other nationals recently did a clean-up of Burj Al Arab beach line, their third so far since 2017. Frankie Boton, the group’s spokesperson said the activity, as well as other related social and community events, is the group’s way of expressing gratitude to the host country, the UAE, their second home. A representative from Dubai Municipality presented the group with a certificate of appreciation. Trash picked were mostly discarded plastic bags as well as cigarette butts.
