OFW marries American man she met in online game

A Saudi-based overseas Filipino worker has caught the attention of netizens after she shared her story on how she was able to find love through an online game.

The OFW named Samra, 23, became a trending topic online after she narrated the story on how she fell in love and got married to her boyfriend Triston, 21-year-old American man who she met by playing online games.

Their story got featured on GMA-7’s weekly lifestyle show “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho”, wherein Samra revealed that she was working as a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia when she met Triston.

After meeting through an online game, they started chatting and video calling with each other every day.

It didn’t take long for them to fall in love with each other and make everything official. For a time, they became a long-distance couple.

After some time, Triston decided to pop the question to Samra to which the latter said yes.

They tied the knot last December in the Philippines and Triston even got converted to Samra’s religion, Islam, for them to get married.

They got married twice — the first one was a traditional Muslim wedding while the second one was a modern wedding.

Triston also said that he is planning on taking Samra to the United States and help her become a US citizen so they can start life as a married couple there.
