Bea Alonzo says she ‘followed her heart’ on moving to GMA-7

Bea Alonzo explained why she decided to move to GMA Network after spending 20 years with ABS-CBN.

The former Kapamilya A-Lister told ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ that the pandemic helped her reflect and decide from her heart.

“When GMA’s offer came, it came at the right time and it just felt right. I follow my heart. Kapag magaan, tama. Pati ‘yung pagpapaalam ko sa ABS-CBN,” Alonzo said.

Alonzo said that she remains grateful for all the things given to her in the last two decades.

“I know na wala akong tinapakang tao,” she said in her vlog.

Alonzo drew flak from loyal Kapamilya fans after her network transfer. Some even accused her of leaving the station even if she has already committed to a teleserye.

The hashtag Kapamilya Forever even became the top trending topic during her network transfer.

“Give it time. Bea will just be another fallen star,” a Twitter user said.

“Bea Alonzo ABS-CBN at a time it is recuperating from its biggest tragedy is a perfect allusion to that iconic line in One More Chance, the film that gave her her 1st BOQ crown. You had ABS-CBN at its best, the ones who stay are having it at its worst,” another one said. (TDT)
