Eight delivery riders thought they would be a victim of a prank.
However, it was just YouTube star Ivana Alawi’s way to surprise them with new helmets and cash.
In her recent vlog, the 24-year-old Ivana said she did this after seeing a video of one rider getting scammed.
“Pero yung reason talaga na ginagawa ko ito is marami akong nakikita na mga scammer na mga tao na akala nila nakakatawa na pag-trippan nila ang mga driver na nagpapakahirap magtrabaho,” Ivana said at the start of her “Prank on Delivery Riders + Surprise!” video uploaded on the video platform on January 26, 2021.
The video showed Ivana shopping for eight pieces of full-face helmets at a store in Market Market in Taguig City before she handed them out.
With the use of different food application apps, she booked food orders with the use of a different name.
After giving them the helmet, she would ask them to answer some trivia questions and hand them out PHP10,000 cash.
One rider said he was a victim of pranks four times.
Another rider was in tears, according to Ivana’s staff, after receiving them. Each rider thanked Ivana for her gifts.
Ivana said the earnings from this video will also go to fund for the purchase of helmets and give out cash.
The video has reached 4.5 million views, as of this writing. (ES)
