Comedian Vice Ganda has walked out of ‘It’s Showtime’ stage due to overwhelming emotions regarding the fate of ABS-CBN’s franchise.
Vice Ganda was supposed to join the cast in singing the opening number of the show. However, he said in a Twitter post that he was unable to sing his parts in the performance because he “couldn’t fake” his heartbreak regarding the decision of the lawmakers to vote against ABS-CBN’s franchise application.

“Kailangan kong umexit sa point na ‘yun para umiyak. I couldn’t fake it. Pero ok nako after humagulgol,” he said in the post. The comedian, however, returned following a commercial break.
Vice Ganda earlier said that the network has become a huge part of Filipino households, and that thousands of jobs are now at risk following the decision of the Congre..
“Ang ABS-CBN, ang serbisyong ibinigay niya ay naging malaking bahagi ng araw-araw na buhay ng mga Pilipino. Napakalaking bahagi,” he said in an interview with Mario Dumaual.
“Tungkol ito sa ating lahat. Hindi ito tungkol lang sa mga taga-ABS-CBN, sa mga artista. Tungkol ito sa ating lahat. Tungkol ito sa buhay natin,” he added.
