Angeline Quinto drew flak from netizens after she spoke about the issue hounding Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez and pop royalty Sarah Geronimo.
Fans of Geronimo accused Velasquez’s sister of credit-grabbing after Cacai Velasquez tweeted on the concert being sold out without tagging Geronimo.
In a series of twitter exchanges, Quinto then came into the defense pf Velasquez and said that the Songbird has been able to fill the entire Araneta Colliseum even without Geronimo.
“Hindi pa yata ako pinapanganak ilang beses ng napuno ni Ms.Reg ang araneta. Sa pagkakaalala ko Di nga lang ako nakanood kahit isa kasi nga walang pera,” Quinto wrote.
Popsters did not let Quinto’s comment go and bashed her for being ‘sawsawera’ on the issue.
“Hindi naman Fake News ang Nai-tweet ko. Galit na galit kayo. Alam na alam ko ang pakiramdam ng isang Fan. Dahil hanggang ngayon Fan ako. Pero dun tayo sa Tama Naging biktima ako ng Fake News na yan!Magsalita ng kahit ano tungkol sa akin? Masasakit? Sanay na ako!”
Quinto also clarified that she has no issues with Geronimo.
“Di ako against kay SG. Sosss wag niyo palakihin issue. puro kanegahan. 2020 na huuyyy. Panay issue. Kemerut.
“Boom boom,” she added.
She also responded to netizens calling her ‘laos’ or a has-been.
“Alam niyo Labs, HINDI importante sa akin ang kasikatan. Mapalad na ako may sapat akong pera na kinikita para sa Pamilya ko. Masaya kami higit sa lahat ang makakanta ako para sa mga taong gusto at mahal ako. Kontento at sapat na. Labyuuu Bashers. Sobra,” Quinto added.
