Kapamilya Primetime King Coco Martin and fellow ‘Ang Probinsyano’ stars paid tribute to the late King of Philippine Cinema Fernando Poe Jr.
They held the celebration for the 80th birthday of the late movie icon on Tuesday at the Manila North Cemetery.
Poe’s daughter, Senator Grace Poe and Susan Roces joined Martin in holding a mass to celebrate the life and works of the action king.
John Prats, John Medina, Marc Solis, Sancho delas Alas, Bryan Lao, and CJ Ramos were also there.
“Mabuhay DA KING… nananatili kang buhay sa puso namin!!!” Martin said on his Instagram account.
The actor is the lead star for ABS-CBN’s hit teleserye ‘Ang Probinsyano’.
“Every time na kaarawan ni FPJ talaga ako nagkakaroon ng pagkakataon na pumunta dito, siyempre upang magpasalamat sa lahat ng kontribusiyon at ginawa niya para sa industriya natin,” Martin told ABS-CBN News.
The actor also recognized Poe’s contribution to the showbiz industry.
“Kundi dahil kay FPJ, wala ang ‘Probinsyano.’ At siya ang inspirasyon namin. Saka hanggang ngayon, ginagabayan niya kami sa bawat kuwento na ginagawa namin para makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa lahat ng Pilipino,” he said.
