‘Sunrise’ host Stephen Dixon was in an awkward moment after he introduced Tony award-winning performer Lea Salonga with a different name.
Dixon read the introduction to an environmental advocate Anne Hughes while the camera or their current guest is Salonga.
Salonga corrected Dixon mid-air while his co-host Gillian Joseph couldn’t do anything but put her hands on her head.
“Well, the flight free campaign wants us to do just that. It wants 100,000 people to promise to give up flying for 2020. One of those asking us to do that, is doing it herself, is environmental campaigner Anne Hughes,” Dixon said.
“Okay, I am not Anne Hughes, I’m sorry I don’t know what is going on. No, I’m not Anne Hughes, sorry about that,” Salonga responded.
“What we are going to do Lea, is go to a break, I do apologise, we will head to a break and sort this out,” Dixon said utterly shocked with the huge mistake.
