Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban said she no longer cares about her ex-boyfriend Carlo Aquino following their recent fallout.
It all started when Aquino decided to defend his current rumored girlfriend, Trina Candaza, asking netizens to spare her from the bashing.
Candaza has been the subject of online hate with many netizens accusing her of being the reason why Panganiban and Aquino are no longer in good terms.
When asked about her reaction on this, Panganiban told reporters during the renewal of her contract with ABS-CBN that she has nothing to say, simply because Aquino no longer exists in her life.
“Wala [akong reaction]. Hindi siya nag-e-exist sa life ko ngayon. Hindi kasi kami nag-uusap so wala akong alam sa nangyayari sa kanya,” she said.
Panganiban said she is willing to listen in case Aquino will explain his side on why their relationship turned sour.
“Matagal ko nang hinintay ‘yung explanation niya, sana matagal na niyang ginawa,” she said.
Nevertheless, Panganiban said she wouldn’t let her conflict with Aquino get in the way of her personal life, saying she has been meeting other people.
“Matagal naman na ako nakikipag-date. Wala lang tumatagal. Bakit, trial and error ‘yun no? So nag-e-entertain naman ako, matagal na,” she said.
However, she said getting in a relationship is not her priority at the moment.
“Parang hindi lang ako interesado. Hindi kasi siya ang priority ng life ko. Pagtapos na rin ng mga panahon, hindi na rin siya ‘yung end all and be all ng lahat. ‘Yung pag-gising mo, lalaki kaagad. Hindi ko lang hinahanap. Hindi ko kailangan,” she said.
“Ayaw ko talaga. Sobrang masarap i-enjoy ‘yung relationship with yourself lalo na kapag na-discover mo kung ano talaga ang gusto mo, kung saan ka sasaya. Doon papasok ‘yung hindi mo pala talaga kailangan ng ibang tao para lumigaya ka,” she added.
It can be recalled that many fans were hoping that Panganiban and Aquino would be able to rekindle their relationship.
Panganiban and Aquino, who became lovers when they were younger, started showing some sweet gestures towards each other and even starred in a film together which gave hope to their fans that they will get back together.
However, despite the netizens’ positive reactions, there were still some who told Panganiban to distance herself from Aquino.
Due to the negativity she has received, Panganiban said she would not like to associate herself anymore with Aquino.
Only a few days later, it was reported that Aquino is now dating Candaza.
