A scholar of the GMA noontime show “Eat Bulaga” topped the November 2018 Civil Engineering (CE) board exams, as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
A graduate of the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Jaydee Niere Lucero, scored 97.20 percent in the CE board exams making him earn the highest score among the examinees.
The PRC announced that 6,262 out of 13,887 passed the examinations.
To celebrate his great achievement, Lucero took to Facebook to write a heartfelt message to thank the people who have supported him throughout his journey, including “Eat Bulaga” and its EBest scholarship program.
In a report by GMA News, Lucero became an “Eat Bulaga!” Excellent Student awardee in 2009 after he graduated Salutatorian from elementary. He then graduated Valedictorian from high school and Magna Cum Laude from college.
“Sa Eat Bulaga, sa pagpapaaral ninyo sa akin (at sa aming mga EBEST scholars) for the past 9 years. Hindi ko marahil mararating ang tagumpay na ito kung hindi dahil sa inyo, thank you po!” he said.
Aside from Eat Bulaga, Lucero also thanked his family, the Phinma National Scholarship (PNS) Program, Review Innovations, Facebook groups Math Enthusiasts Quiz Group and Civil Engineering Board Exam Problems, and his friends.
He also appeared on Eat Bulaga last November 17 to share his story.
After Lucero, Bicol University-Legazpi graduate Norejun de Guzman Osial placed second, and Camarines Sur Polytechnic College – Nabua graduate John Rey Moreno Pacturanan placed third.
