Many fans of Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino have been encouraging them to rekindle their love for each other because they never lost their chemistry. But unknown to many, they have tried to get back together years ago.
Panganiban and Aquino, who became a couple in the early 2000s, made the revelation that they actually tried to take a second chance at romance after they initially broke up.
Panganiban said that Aquino used his charm to win her over again after they broke up.
“Ganyan yung ginawa niya as akin, nagpa-cute ulit. ‘Tapos eto naman ako, tawang-tawa ako. Ayun, na-fall ako, naging kami ulit,” PEP.ph quoted Panganiban as saying.
However, Aquino admitted that it was his fault why they decided to break up the second time around.
Panganiban said that there came a point in their second relationship when Aquino got unsure with what is going on between them that is why they decided to end it once again.
“May mga pinagselosan din siya. Siyempre bata kami nun, e. Nakaka-excite kaya pag may nanligaw sa iyo, may nagandahan sa iyong iba. Ganun lang siguro yun. Bata pa kami nun,” she said.
But despite their breakup, Panganiban and Aquino said that they ended their relationship in good terms and decided to stay friends.
The former couple also recalled some of the memories they had during their younger years when they were still together.
The actor said that Panganiban gave him a lot of random stuff which he has kept after all these years.
“Meron siyang ibinigay sa akin na video, e, na may kanta ni Enya. Hindi ko makita, inis na inis ako.
“Ang nakita ko lang yung mga photos namin, ‘tsaka yung mga diary niya. Nasa akin pa yung mga diary niya. Hindi niya alam naitago ko pa yun after ilang taon,” he said.
Aquino even jokingly said that he will publicize the content of Panganiban’s diary, to which the actress replied, “Subukan mo!”
He said that there is one thing about Panganiban that never changes. “Sobrang dami pa rin niyang pagmamahal na kayang ibigay. Sobrang dami pa rin kahit ilang beses na siyang nasasaktan. Sinasabi niya, living thing lahat. Ultimo paghinga, naa-appreciate niya,” the actor said.
So, is third time’s a charm for their relationship? Aquino answered, “Hindi ako nanliligaw”.
