Fans can’t help feeling giggly over sweet photos of Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban that have recently surfaced on social media. The latest of which is a look-test photo for an upcoming Star Cinema film, posted by its director Dan Villegas on Instagram.
In an interview with Pep last week, Carlo confirmed the impending project with his former girlfriend of six years and first love, Angelica. He shared that it will be a romantic flick portraying a couple’s relationship struggles starting from college. The actor also took to Instagram to publicize their upcoming reunion, posting a photo of them entwined in an affectionate embrace.
Followers are already thrilled about the renewed love team, “Ay grabe.. Pamalo sa kilig!! Pareho pa ng kulay ng buhok. Destiny nga naman!! Excited na aq sa movie nyo. Im sure blockbuster yan!!! (Oh this is so exciting! You even have the same hair-color. Destiny, indeed! I’m so excited for your movie. I’m sure it will be a blockbuster hit!) ” a certain lorelynd commented on Carlo’s post.
Both Carlo and Angelica have been teasing their fans with sweet photos on their social media accounts for months. Back in February, Angelica shared how Carlo surprised her with a bouquet of roses during a fansign event for ‘Para kay Ex’, a book she wrote a foreword to.
On social media, the two have also been seen hanging out in Australia. They reportedly met and ended up going to an Ed Sheeran concert, along with some of Angelica’s friends.
So what’s the real deal between them? Is romance also brewing even when the cameras stop rolling? According to a Push report, Carlo clarified that they are just friends as of now since they are both not ready to enter a new relationship yet. He recently broke up with girlfriend of seven years last January, while she has been vocal about her heartbreak in the past months after separating from John Lloyd Cruz.
Carlo further confessed to Pep that he also feels Angelica’s pain after her recent breakup, saying, “Siyempre nasasaktan din ako kasi mabuti din naman siyang tao. (Of course, I feel hurt too because she is a good person).” But he, too, admitted to having hurt Angelica when they broke up several years ago. He added that if he could only revisit the past, he would do things differently.
