With his slicked back hair, long-sleeved polo, leather shoes, and a briefcase, one may mistaken Bernie Mirafuentes for a lawyer.
But when he opens his briefcase, what should have been documents inside turns out to be a box of peanuts.
For Mirafuentes, this is all in a day’s work as a mani vendor in Iligan City. A mani vendor since he was 14 years old, Mirafuentes said he wanted to imitate other vendors in the past who looked clean and decent as they serve food their customers.
Aside from the usual salted mani, his specialties include mani with ketchup and mani with chili flakes.
His photos went viral on Facebook after a netizen posted him selling peanuts at a beach resort in Iligan.
