Miss Universe candidates were all poised and elegant as they paraded wearing the Filipino terno on Sunday in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Residents, tourists, and well-wishers applauded as each candidate walked the stretch of the famous Calle Crisologo in the heritage city.
The beauty queens wore the terno, a one-piece gown with butterfly sleeves, done by Filipino designers.
Among the candidates who participated were Miss Great Britain, Miss Netherlands, Miss Thailand, Miss USA, Miss Guatemala, Miss Venezuela, and Miss Philippines Maxine Medina.
The candidates praised Vigan’s beauty and were grateful for the warm hospitality shown by Filipinos.
Miss Universe President Paula Shugart was happy to have the candidates experience all the activities prepared for them by the Philippines as host country.
