Sara announces Robin Padilla part of senate slate, but Bongbong rejects

Presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte appeared to have differing view on the inclusion of actor Robin Padilla in their senatorial slate.

Duterte announced that Padilla was their 12th senatorial candidate in a campaign event in Ilocos Norte. However, Marcos later on said that Padilla was not included in their line up.

Marcos even joked that Padilla is too handsome and tends to overshadow other candidates.

“Yun lamang ay hindi ninyo nalalaman, habang kumakanta si Robin Padilla, nagkabotohan doon sa likod, sabi noong ibang mga senador “wag na nating sinasama ‘yan, masyadong malakas ang kalaban,” he said.

Padilla admitted that he was not an official part of the UniTeam alliance.
