The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning on fake weather alerts circulating on WhatsApp.
The said fake message says that the UAE will experience a “heatwave” as temperature in some parts of the country crosses 47°C and 50°C.
Although residents may experience hot weather in general and hazy at times as temperature rises, NCM allayed fears of heatwave.
Yesterday, the hottest temperature in the country was recorded at 51°C in Saih Al Salem, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 27.7°C.

As of press time, the weather bureau annouced today, July 11, that there will be some low cloud formation over eastern areas, which may become convective by afternoon.
NCM also warned residents of the possibility of blowing dust due to light to moderate winds over exposed areas.
Relative humidity is also expected to increase by nighttime over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of mist formation, especially westward.
