Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was seen in tears after getting off a plane following the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant on Sunday.
According to a report by Metro, James was caught in a video clip by 12News seemingly wiping his tears and hugging those who meet him as he got off the LA Lakers’ team plane.
James was a close friend of Bryant.

He then told Spectrum SportsNet he met Kobe while he was still growing up through the ranks in the league.
James, 15 at that time when he joined a camp, went on and remembered what Kobe said.
“He said that if you want to be one of the greats, you have to put the work in. There is no substitution to work.”

Even if they were competitors, James said he has always admired the work ethics that Kobe displayed all through the years.
“He is one of the all-time greatest ever basketball players to play. One of the greatest Lakers – the man had two jerseys hanging up at Staples Centre.”
