The Philippine team remains invincible in their overall standing in the 30th SEA Games, which is currently being held in the country.
The country’s athletes have so far bagged 60 medals: 31 gold, 19 silver, and 10 bronze.
Vietnam, meanwhile, comes in second place with a total of 41 medals. Thailand has hauled 27 medals, placing them in the top 3.
John Leerams Chicano delivered the first gold medal to the country men’s triathlon held at Subic Bay Boardwalk in Zambales, December 1.
The number of Filipino athletes followed suit including Tejada Carloyd, who plucked a gold medal in Arnis in the PS Welterweight division.
Meanwhile, Gilas Pilipinas Basketball team had dominated both the men’s and women’s competition as they’ve harvested two gold medals.
The 30th SEA Games Philippines 2019 is a week-long sports event, which started from November 30 until December 11, 2019.
