Fitness enthusiast Joan MacDonald, a 70-year-old grandmother, has stunned everyone with her three-year transformation that resulted in her getting a good amount of muscles and lean body.
MacDonald has been documenting her fitness journey on her Instagram account (@trainwithjoan), wherein she also shared how she first got inclined to the idea of an active lifestyle.
She said that it all started after getting into a heart-to-heart discussion with her daughter—a fitness trainer—about her increasing health problems.

According to her website, MacDonald had been on medication for high-blood pressure and acid reflux. She also suffered from edema, arthritis, and fatigue, as well as had trouble doing everyday physical activities such as walking down the stairs.
Following her strict workout regime and a balanced diet, the grandma has cut her weight from 200 lbs. to 135 lbs. In just three years. Because of her amazing transformation, as well as motivational words of wisdom to other gym enthusiasts, she has gained over 800,000 followers—making her an influencer in the field of fitness.
