Here are the two main tourist attractions that will open in the UAE before the year ends.
World’s longest zipline in RAK ready to fly in December
Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) will vie for a Guinness World Record title as the world’s longest zipline.
RAK Tourism Development Authority has partnered with Toro Verde to set up the thrilling ride on the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais.
The team behind the multi-million dirham project is yet to disclose the actual length of the zipline. But according to estimates, it will be roughly three times the length of Burj Khalifa’s built.

Puerto Rico’s 2.2-kilometer Toro Verde Adventure Park currently holds the world record for longest zipline.
Once operational, adrenaline junkies will find themselves gliding through a cable placed 1,934 meters above sea level. The speed will be at 130 kilometers per hour.
This new destination will also feature a viewing deck, where visitors can enjoy sumptuous food choices.
Louvre Abu Dhabi opens on November 11
UAE residents will be able to visit the much-anticipated Louvre Abu Dhabi by November.
His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, announced that the museum will open its doors to the public on November 11 after years of masterful planning and construction.
HH Mohamed bin Zayed said the establishment aims to help boost the UAE’s cultural presence.
“Louvre Abu Dhabi reflects the UAE’s approach toward cultural connectivity and its pursuit to become a beacon of knowledge and tolerance.
“It is the result of a close partnership with France and is an expression of cultural unity,” the Crown Prince said in his Twitter account.
The museum, which rises in Saadiyat Island, will house almost 700 exhibits.
It will include loaned installations from Louvre Museum, Musee d’Orsay, and the Center Pompidou in Paris.
Some of the masterpieces that it will house are Monet’s La Gare Saint-Lazare, a self-portrait by Vincent Van Gogh, and Leonardo da Vinci’s La Belle Ferronniere.
The establishment alone is a gem as it was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Jean Nouvel.
Loudovic Pouille, French ambassador to the UAE, earlier posted a sneak peek of the museum.
