Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio claimed Tuesday PDP-Laban rejected her appeal to support her vice presidential run with former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as her running mate.
PDP-Laban is the party of her father President Rodrigo Duterte, who has earlier publicly spoken against Marcos Jr. At one point, President Duterte called the former senator a “pro-communist.”

Tinanggihan ito ng PDP at naiintindihan natin ito,” Duterte-Carpio said in a statement.

Duterte-Carpio, nonetheless, appealed to the public to continue its support towards the Duterte administration.
(NM)
