Marcos camp endorses Sara Duterte as VP

Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, the camp of former senator Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos has endorsed the vice presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“Vice presidential candidate MAYOR SARA DUTERTE CARPIO of the LAKAS CMD is hereby ADOPTED by the PARTIDO FEDERAL NG PILIPINAS (PFP) as its candidate for vice president, and hereby ENDORSES her candidacy as the running mate of the PFP’s official candidate for president of the Philippines SENATOR FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR. in the 9 May 2022 national elections,” the party said in a resolution.

Earlier, the Commission on Elections says Sara Duterte’s substitution papers were filed by her representative representative Charo Munsalac.

Sara is now running under the Lakas-CMD which fielded a certain Anna Velasco as presidential bet and Lyle Uy for vice president.

Under the COMELEC rules, candidates can substitute until November 15.

Last week, Sara quit her local party Hugpong ng Pagbabago and joined Lakas.

“I confirm that Lakas-CMD will be fielding Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as its Vice Presidential bet in the 2022 National and Local Elections,” Senator Bong Revilla said in a statement.

“Many continue to signify their intention to join Lakas in support of the Mayor’s Vice Presidential run and we are continuously expanding our membership. The Party is mobilizing its full machinery to back Inday Sara’s candidacy towards ensuring her victory,”he added.

Lakas also confirms that the Party is in the process of formalizing the adoption of a standard-bearer who Inday Sara will be running with as her President.

“Abangan po natin ang Dream-Tandem na aakay sa bansa tungo sa hinahangad nating pagbangon mula sa pandemya at tuloy-tuloy na progreso,” he said. (TDT)
