Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque disclosed Friday he is mulling a senatorial run in next year’s elections to clear his name, saying critics have been accusing him of being a war criminal.
Roque made the remark following an incident in his recent visit to New York in the United States wherein protesters accused him of being a war criminal who should not sit as a member of the UN International Law Commission.

The protesters said Roque was a defender of President Rodrigo Duterte who is behind the bloody war against drugs.
Hindi makatarungan na, in an attempt to embarrass us internationally, tatawagin nila akong war criminal,” Roque said.
