A Saudi girl fled her home to Ireland though Dubai’s airport and her family reported her absence to the police, a local newspaper said on Monday.
Her father said the girl woke him up in the morning last week and asked him to give her some money for exams in her college in the Southern Jazan city.
The father said he reported her absence to the police after she did not return home from the college late on that day.
The Arabic language daily Al Watan said police informed him that his daughter flew to Dubai and took a flight to Ireland.
The paper did not mention reasons for the girl’s escape nor provided any further details on the incident.
