Over five million locals in Saudi aged 15 to 65 are single, newspaper Makkah reported.
According to the statistical findings of General Authority of Statistics (GaStat), the unmarried locals are composed of 3,006,480 men and 2,237,983 women and are from the 15-to-65 age group.
The report said that the single women in the age group of 35 to 39 years comprise 51 percent, while those in 40 to 44 years represented about 52 percent. Single women between 50 to 54 years old, meanwhile, comprise about 56 percent.
Single Saudi men aged 15 to 19 are 909,054, while women are 851,396. Those aged 35 to 39 comprise of 96,021 men and 98,132 women.
In addition, around 6,050 men and 4,348 women aged 55 to 59 years old are not yet married, as well as 43,249 women and 39,398 men aged 40 to 44 years old. There are also 5,152 women and 3,901 men aged 65 years old and above who have not yet been married.
The data also showed that exactly 652,828 men and 335,623 women aged 25 to 29 years old are still single, while those aged 30 to 24 years old are composed of 245,855 men and 162,825 women.
