Filipina makes it to Top 25 Canadian Immigrants

Gelaine Santiago, the Filipina founder of Cambio & Co., was named as one of this year’s Top 25 Canadian Immigrants.

The RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants is an award given to recognized immigrants who made positive contribution to their community since arriving in Canada.

The awarding ceremony was held at One King West Hotel in Ontario, Canada last June 25.

A Bulacan native, Santiago moved to Canada when she was three years old.

Santiago and her partner founded Cambio & Co, a retailer business that promotes Filipino made handcrafted designs.

The company focuses on connecting Filipino products to the global market and promote culture through fashion.

“I’m thankful to receive this award, not only on behalf of my parents who made the courageous decision to pursue a life in Canada, but also on behalf of the larger Filipino community,” Santiago said.

Cambio & Co. has 2,000 customers in the United States and Canada and an estimated 10,000 social advicates globally.
