WATCH: OFW based from Saudi surprises daughter at school

For OFW parents, it is their dream to be there for their kids even for just a few days after many months or years of working overseas.

In the case of Lindo Luna, an OFW based in Saudi, he planned a surprise together with his wife Connie to surprise their daughter as they picked her up from school.

“Daddy, miss na po kita!,” said their daughter who was visibly in tears as she hugged her father.

In Connie’s post, she shared that their daughter had been praying for her father to visit the Philippines once again, which was why when Lindo finally had the chance to do so – they surprised their kid together.

Naiyak ako sayo Anak, di ko expected na ganyan magiging reaction mo,” said Connie in her Facebook post.

Lindo has been in Saudi for 10 years but manages to visit his family yearly.

In an interview with The Filipino Times, Lindo urged fellow OFWs who are parents to make time for their kids especially nowadays with the emergence of social media that makes it easy to communicate with loved ones back home.

He also said that spending quality time with their daughter is their priority as parents to make sure that their daughter will grow up together with a loving, caring family: “Siguradong di natin yun pagsisisihan, dahil mararmdaman nila ung pagmamahal natin kahit tayo ay nasa malayo para din lumaki sila na malapit ang loob satin.
