There seems to be an oversupply of ripe mangoes in Ilocos Sur that these are given away for free.
There are residents of Salcedo town in Ilocos Sur harvested ripe mangoes and placed these inside plastic bags that can be found outside the fence of her residence left for any one to pick up and bring to their homes.
The photos of these bags filled with mangoes were uploaded by Dennis Gabriel Alipio on Facebook on May 29 and have since gone viral.
The residents say that by doing this, there would be less mangoes that would go to waste.
In the market in Ilocos Sur, mangoes are sold for P10 per kilo.
