Prior to the match, the PH Azkals thanked their Filipino fans in the UAE who have showed their full support in watching their games.

Here’s their entire message for all OFWs below:

“The UAE is home to close to 1 million OFWs. Everyday, they work tirelessly to provide for their families who are thousands of miles away. If there’s one thing this tournament has showed us, it is that the heart of the Filipino perseveres; it stops at nothing, to make sure that their families are taken cared of. Maraming Salamat sa inyong suporta. Seeing Filipinos in the crowd gives us the will to move forward, despite any challenge.”
