Jim Paredes accuses Ted Failon as ‘spreader of fake news’

OPM singer Jim Paredes called Ted Failon “spreader of fake news” as tributes to the broadcast journalist poured in on social media.

Failon has decided to part ways with the Kapamilya network after 30 years.

“He was a spreader of fake news. Sorry Karen. I disagree,” Paredes said in a tweet in response to Karen Davila’s post to Failon.

Davila did not respond to Paredes’ comment but a netizen challenged him to prove that Failon is indeed spreaded fake news.

“He sided with Persida on the issue of dengvaxia. He did not speak out against the manufactured data on deaths her office was touting even when top doctors and experts were contradicting her,” Paredes wrote.

This was the start, according to Paredes, of the “downfall” of Failon’s credibility.

“He eroded the trust in vaccines and help spread polio, chicken pox, etc,” Paredes added.

Failon bid his goodbyes to his Failon Ngayon show on DZMM TeleRadyo and TV Patrol on Monday, August 31.
