Raquel Pempengco sympathizes with Mommy Divine

Raquel Pempengco says she sympathizes with Mommy Divine Geronimo following the issues with her own daughter.
In a report by the Pep.ph, Raquel said in her post on Facebook that although she is happy for Sarah Geronimo’s wedding with Matteo Guidicelli, she couldn’t help but feel sad for Mommy Divine who didn’t get to witness an important event in her daughter’s life.
Ramdam ko ang sakit na nararamdaman ngayon ni Mommy Divine,” Raquel wrote on her Facebook status last Feb. 28.

However, her comment did not sit well with some netizens telling her not to compare their situation with what happened to Sarah. Others also pointed out that she should now be how happy with her daughter’s decision to be a trans-man.
According to PEP, Raquel and her daughter Charice, now Jake Zyrus, share a similar situation with that of Sarah and Mommy Divine.
Both Charice and Sarah began their showbiz career at a young age as child stars. Both mothers Raquel and Divine were always behind their daughters in their careers.
However, Charice and Raquel had a falling out back in 2013 after she left her for her girlfriend back then.
It was in 2017 when Charice introduced herself as Jake Zyrus.
