Minnie Mouse voice actor Russi Taylor dies at 75

The actress who gave voice to one of the most beloved Disney characters, Minnie Mouse, has died.
 
In a statement on Saturday, Walt Disney Co. chairman Bob Iger was quoted by the Associated Press (AP) that the cause of death of the 75-year-old voice actor Russi Taylor is not yet clear. 
 
Iger praised and paid tribute to Taylor in saying her works will continue to “entertain and inspire other generations to come”. 
 
Taylor was the voice of Minnie Mouse for thirty years. 
 
Her partner and the late Wayne Allwine was also the voice that gave life to Mickey Mouse. 
 
A native of Cambridge in Massachusetts, Taylor started giving voice to Minnie in the year 1986.
 
Taylor also gave voice to some characters in “The Simpsons” like Bart’s nerd classmate, Martin Prince.
