Only a few days remain before KZ Tandingan marks a new milestone as she starts her 7th year in the entertainment industry with a new milestone – being the first Filipina performer to rock the Dubai World Trade Centre arena happening this March 22!
The concert titled: ‘SUPREME: KZ Tandingan concert’ organized by La Verdad Events Management, has an area that is expected to house close to 10,000 people with performances that will be taken to the next level with singer-songwriter TJ Monterde and R&B singer Jay-R. Filipino fans have been clamoring to watch the show with VIP tickets already sold out as of press time!
7 years of bringing pride to Filipino music
In an interview during the digital press conference with The Filipino Times, KZ said that her journey as an artist had been difficult at first to the point that she even had thoughts that the music industry might not be meant for her. “As an artist kasi nung nagsisimula ako it was hard – Sobrang iba ako dun sa nakasanayan ng mga tao and yung mga tao, nahirapan sila na tanggapin kung sino din ako. So it was hard for me to accept who I am as an artist na nung simula feeling ko baka, this industry isn’t really for me,” said KZ.
The singer, who has since been tagged as Asia’s Soul Supreme, shared that as she coursed through 7 years of bringing joy to Filipinos and even to other nationalities all over the world, she found herself embracing her own identity as an artist through the help of people close to her heart: “Siguro sa 7 years nay un I’ve met a lot of people including these people around here na tinuruan ako na mahalin kung sino ako, kung ano yung flaws ko. My flaws make me beautiful at kung ano yung mga kakayanan ko, kailangan ko i-embrace yun kasi ako lang ang meron nun. Kung ano si KZ, si KZ lang ang may ganun.”
