Boxing icon and politician Sen. Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee Pacquiao had a brief meeting with Jack Ma at the Plaza Premium Lounge of the Hong Kong International Airport.
The couple posted selfies of their encounter with Jack Ma on Instagram. It seemed like they crossed paths with Ma before they boarded their flight back to the Philippines.
“We are happy to meet you Jack Ma. The co-founder and executive chairman of the Alibaba Group. Continue to inspire people. God bless you!” Jinkee captioned her series of photos on Instagram.
For his part, Manny uploaded the same set of photos on his own account with the caption: “It was a pleasure meeting with Jack Ma, the co-founder and executive chairman of Alibaba.”
This isn’t the first time the Chinese businessman and the Filipino boxing icon met. In 2017, Manny was featured in the closing credits of the trailer of Ma’s movie “Gong Shou Dao”.
Ma, who is one of China’s wealthiest men with estimated net worth of $36.3 billion, is the founder of Alibaba, an e-commerce conglomerate.
Last year, he came to the Philippines to speak to the students at the De La Salle University about entrepreneurship and visited Malacanang for a courtesy call with President Rodrigo Duterte.
