Singer Rhap Salazar finally confirmed through his social media account that he did join the 15th season of “The X Factor UK”, but footages of his audition was not aired.
The last episode of the auditions was aired on September 23 and the next round of the competition, which is the Six-chair Challenge will begin airing on the 29th, but no one was able to see Salazar’s audition on the said show.
Because of this, the Filipino singer took to Twitter to explain what happened through a series of tweets.
He said that he auditioned for the said show last July 22 at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London wherein he sang an acoustic rendition of Whitney Houston’s hit song “I Will Always Love You”.

Salazar also uploaded amateur videos of his performance which drew applause from the audience members.

He said that he got the judges’ approval and a standing ovation from everyone who watched his performance. Salazar added that he was able to advance to the next stage of the competition, but was eventually eliminated during the deliberation stage.
He added that he has no idea why his audition was not shown as he was able to get the judges’ four “yeses” during that stage of the competition.

Nevertheless, he believes that it happened for a reason and that he is simply wants to share his talent and love for music with everyone.

Aside from Salazar, other Filipino singers have also tried out for the show who fortunately got their auditions aired.
Singers Maria Laroco and Sephy Francisco sang the songs “Purple Rain” and “The Prayer” during their auditions, respectively.
Both of them earned praises from the show’s judges, Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Field and Robbie Williams, during their audition.
Other Filipino acts, including Alisah Bonaobra and 4th Impact, have also tried their luck on the previous seasons of the same show.
