Perfume business tycoon Joel Cruz is now excited to welcome his seventh child next month. In an interview with entertainment website PEP, Cruz said that the seventh child supposedly has a twin.
The in vitro fertilization procedure, however, did not succeed.
“Supposed to be kambal din sana gusto ko kaso hindi kumapit yung isa at isa lang yung nabuo,” Cruz said.
Earlier, Cruz revealed that he spent Php7-million in the surrogacy procedure done to conceive his eldest twins in 2013.
Asked if his seventh child, who is a boy, would be his last child, Cruz said he will have another procedure done in another time which will be his last one.
Cruz said he wants another set of twins: “Hindi pa ito yung last. Meron pa akong planong kambal pa na susunod, pero baka this time, last na talaga yung kambal na yun. Hopefully, mabuo yung huling kambal.
“Kung sakali, kapag isa lang ang nabuo uli sa huling kambal ko, bale, walo ang anak ko. Pero kapag nabuo ang kambal, magiging nine ang total ng anak ko.”
Cruz currently has three sets of twins. The youngest, Charles and Charlotte, recently celebrated their first birthday.
All twins share the same mother, a Russian woman named Lilia.
