Viewers were left in awe when singers Jessica Sanchez and Morissette Amon took the stage to do a duet on ASAP last May 27.
Sanchez, who is currently in the Philippines for some showbiz commitments, appeared on ABS-CBN’s weekly variety talent show with Amon as a guest performer.
The live audience roared with applause as the two powerful belters exchanged high notes and vocal runs with each other as they sang Demi Lovato’s hit song “Stone Cold”.
Because of such exhilarating performance, Sanchez even became a trending topic on Twitter.
However, while many were impressed by the two singers’ vocal prowess, there were some netizens who took it to Twitter to criticize Amon for seemingly stealing the spotlight from Sanchez.
Many netizens said that Amon should have been “humble” and “respectful” to the guest instead of outshining her by singing the higher notes of the song.
Nevertheless, most fans have only good things to say about their performance.
