Actor JM de Guzman clarified that he and his leading lady Barbie Imperial are simply friends.
The actor cleared his name following rumors that Imperial and her “special someone” Paul Salas are having problems because of him.
“Ang alam ko nagka-problema lang, pero ayos na sila,” De Guzman said.
“Hindi po magkaibigan po kami (Barbie).”
He added that it is impossible that he is the reason behind the couple’s misunderstanding as both Imperial and Salas are his friends.
Due to the “sexual” narrative of the show Araw Gabi, where De Guzman and Imperial play the lead roles, many fans believe something is going on behind the camera between the two.
The actor, however, said they are simply doing their jobs as actors.
“Masaya po na nag-work ang love team namin, pero ibibigay pa din po namin ang best namin,” De Guzman said.
De Guzman also extended his gratitude to his fans who welcomed his return to the spotlight.
“Nakaka-shock and overwhelming po yung blessings. Sobra lang po akong thankful talaga,” the actor said.
