However, one follower with handle @hazelmnq questioned the motive behind Barretto’s gift-giving posts.

“Why need to post and announce the world in giving help? To show you are kind or mabait?,” her comment read.

The comment was eventually deleted but not after Barretto has posted her response and taken a screenshot of the comment.

Barretto then re-posted the comment to explain her side.

“FYI – first of all , I NEVER TRIED TO MAKE MYSELF LOOK MABAIT OR KIND simply because i am not accountable to you nor to anyone.

“This all happened on Instagram when my followers were asking for a souvenir from me, a bag, watch or pearls so I announced I will grant wishes that’s of more importance. Then came wishes from followers, medication etc. instead of judging me, look deep into your heart & find Peace & positivity amidst this chaotic world, people need love, understanding, help or just someone to listen to them & not your rubbish,” Barretto explained.

Barretto added that gift-giving also helps her in its own way.

“This is my way of keeping in touch with the real world, communicating with my followers & their situation keep me human. Read through the requests & wishes, I pray your heart be touched by them & May your heart be filled with overflowing joy that you are in a much better state then they are,” Barretto said.
