Far from her bubbly and joyful personality, Kris Aquino shared her personal experience with depression on social media.
The Queen of All Media bared it all on Instagram and said she became depressed after leaving ABS-CBN, her network for more than two decades.
“I was depressed and scared that all doors were closing,” she said.
Aquino added that she kept her insecurities and worries to help as to not burden her family.
“My sisters were worried because I wasn’t me. I shut down and kept to myself because I didn’t want to burden them with my insecurities.”
The multimedia queen has done everything from hosting talk shows and game shows to acting in movies and television dramas, and said what she missed the most was “connecting” with the audience.
“It was painful to not have a venue to continue doing what I love most – connecting with you and entertaining you,” she shared.
Currently, Aquino is producing vlogs and other online content through her production company, K Productions.
She is keeping busy with her endorsement deals and webisodes, admitting that she “missed the pressure and exhaustion from work”.
“Thank You God for making me this tired again, because I super missed it.”
Aquino is set to join the cast of the Hollywood adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s book “Crazy Rich Asians”.
