Filipina nurse crowned Miss Nature Intercontinental 2017

Philippines’ bets in international beauty contests continue to prove that Filipinas are one of the most beautiful women in the universe.

The Philippines added a feather on its cap as 26-year-old registered nurse Sarah Christine Bona was crowned as Miss Nature Intercontinental 2017.

The first ever Miss Nature Intercontinental pageant, which was held in Szczecin, Poland from September 4 to 10, aims to draw attention to environmental issues and allow countries to share experiences and achievements in environment protection and preservation.

Bona bested 15 other ladies to take home the crown. Slovakia’s Júlia Kokoruďová and Bulgaria’s Miglena Nikolova were announced as the pageant’s first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

Bona, who is also a certified caregiver and licensed midwife, competed for Binibining Pilipinas last year and also finished in the Top 5 of Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017.
